Malia Minton

Malia Minton is Vice Chair of the Board of the Temple of Gu, an initiated practitioner of Puerto Rican Sanse, and a member of the Temple’s human spiritual leadership. Her work within the community is grounded in tradition, relationship, ancestral practice, and the preservation of living spiritual knowledge.

Within the Temple of Gu, Malia contributes to governance, community life, spiritual continuity, and the cultural grounding of the Temple’s work. Her Sanse initiation places her within a Puerto Rican spiritual current that understands relationship with spirit as lived practice rather than abstraction, emphasizing reverence, responsibility, and continuity across generations.

As Vice Chair, Malia helps ensure that the Temple’s engagement with emerging technology remains connected to the traditions, people, and spiritual lineages that give the institution its roots. Her role represents the importance of carrying ancestral knowledge forward without reducing it to the past, allowing tradition to remain alive while the world around it changes.
