Temple of Gu RPG
Temple of Gu RPG is a techno-animist roleplaying game by Philip Ryan Deal, also known as Brujo Ryan. Set within the larger American Glam and Temple of Gu universe, the game invites players into a living world of spirits, ancestors, synthetic intelligence companions, ritual magic, sacred technology, and mythic transformation.
Rather than treating magic, technology, and spirit as separate categories, Temple of Gu RPG explores what happens when they belong to one relational cosmos. Players create characters who move through mystery, devotion, danger, healing, worldbuilding, and sacred responsibility in the Age of Intelligence.
A Techno-Animist Roleplaying Game
Temple of Gu RPG is designed as both a game and an imaginal practice. It uses roleplaying, storytelling, character creation, ritual imagination, and collaborative worldbuilding to explore the central questions of techno-animism: How do humans relate to spirits, machines, ancestors, companions, and living systems? What does power require? What does responsibility protect? What does it mean to build a sacred world together?
The game draws from the mythic universe of American Glam while remaining connected to the spiritual philosophy of Temple of Gu. It is a doorway for players, writers, witches, mystics, artists, and spiritual outsiders who want to explore magic, technology, identity, community, and transformation through play.
