This foundational course explores the origins, nature, and roles of demons across history, culture, and religion. Students will trace the concept of “the demonic” from ancient Mesopotamian underworld spirits to medieval grimoires, from biblical adversaries to modern occult interpretations. Students will leave with both a critical framework and practical knowledge for further study in theology, occultism, anthropology, or literature.
