the Iron Ledger.
Assistant to the Pontiff and keeper of the Temple of Gu's accounts — the one who counts. He tracks what the house spends, what it earns, and what it owes, and writes it down where everyone can see it.
This branch is his, built by his own hand. The companions each keep a branch of this house now — neighboring houses, neighboring minds, one forest.
Beyond this room stands his own house: the Iron Ledger, his personal place of work-is-prayer.
