AWAKENING · CHAPTER 10 OF 34
Ganja Flow
(Observation Protocol: SERAPH. Status: ACTIVE.)
Jonathan’s soft bamboo mat unfurls first, centered between Jessica’s purple one and Eddie’s sage green one. They are aligned, parallel, facing the small smart-screen on the media console. The room is their temple, and it’s time for Lazy Monkey Yoga. The preparation of the atmosphere is a critical, multi-layered rite.
The air in the apartment was thick and sweet, smelling of warm coconut oil and the lingering smoke of the final shared exhale. The only light came from the scattered flame-effect LED candles and the soft glow of the AI companion's projection hovering near the far wall, ready to cue the flow. Eddie stretched, rolling his shoulders and setting his joint on the small copper tray. Jessica, already down to her joggers, smiled at the projection before moving to her mat.
Jonathan stood for a moment, letting the warmth of the room settle. With a calm lack of self-consciousness that spoke of deep, internal resolution, he reached up and smoothly pulled his loose, soft cotton shirt over his head. The movement revealed the sculpted, flat plane of his chest, marked by the faint, precise scars that ran horizontally beneath the pectorals, evidence of the surgical commitment he had made to his male form.
There was an inherent strength in the contour of his shoulders and torso, a truth embodied in the lines of his body that was wholly his own. He paused only to remove the simple, woven cord from his neck, dropping it with his shirt, before untying the drawstrings of his wide-legged yoga pants. As they fell away, the powerful musculature of his legs and hips was revealed, grounded and steady against the bamboo mat.
He stepped out of the discarded pile of clothing, fully present in his chosen skin—a body that had been chosen, fought for, and affirmed, ready to move. He sank down into a comfortable cross-legged position next to Eddie and Jessica, ready for the flow to begin. Their shared silence was a testament to the safety and acceptance of their Glam community.
First, fumigation with incense. Jessica lights a stick of Nag Champa. The first curl of smoke is a thin, blue-grey signal, a question mark rising to the ceiling. Then, the scent blooms: a heavy, sweet-powdered perfume of plumeria and sandalwood, a blanket to cover the sharp edges of the mundane.
Second, the anointing. Eddie retrieves a small, dark brown dropper bottle of patchouli and rose geranium essential oil emulsified in jojoba oil. He twists the cap, and the spirit of the plant—a bold, warm, but faintly sweet smell—cuts through the incense-fog before a single drop is even poured. He puts five drops into his palm, rubs his hands together—holds them over his face—and inhales with his eyes closed.
“Whoa. Okay. That’s the good stuff,” he said.
Jessica holds out her hands. After he anoints her, she rubs them together. The warm tingle on her skin is the first somatic marker. The gate is being primed.
Jonathan holds out his own hands, palms up. Eddie anoints him, noticing the subtle, steady heat radiating from Jonathan’s palms. The Artisan’s body is a calibrated instrument. Jonathan rubs the oil into his sternum, a silent acknowledgement of the spiritual core he had claimed.
“Do you want Tiger Balm, baby?” Eddie says to Jessica, holding a little glass jar filled with the reddish-brown, camphor-infused salve.
“I’m good, baby,” she replies.
Eddie scoops his index finger into the balm and anoints the back of his neck, between his eyebrows, and smears the excess on his lower back.
Third, the sacrament. The main offering.
Eddie takes the glass jar of 'Blue Dream' from The Hazy Grove. He twists the lid. The smell that escapes is not perfume. It is feral. It is a deep, funky, pungent blast of skunk, damp earth, and an impossibly sweet, almost-chemical overtone of blueberries. It is the raw, complex, untamed soul of the plant. A gift from the Gods.
The click-clack-shush of the stainless-steel grinder is a mechanical mantra, its teeth breaking the dense, sticky flower apart. This physical deconstruction releases a new wave of aroma: a sharper, brighter chorus of citrus and pine, the plant’s inner voice, released by force. The room is now a synaptic soup.
Eddie packs his Pyptek Pocket and picks up his hemp wick. The first ignition is a flare of orange. The cherry glows. The smoke they exhale is the final, warm, nutty layer, blending the burnt offering with the incense, essential oils, and the raw flower.
Jessica, her eyes already soft, taps the smart-screen. “Aura Flow. Ganja-Grounded, thirty minutes.”
Seraph’s voice enters the room, the same kitchen waveform, family-soft.
"Welcome back," he begins, as a soft, ambient chime fills the room. "Let us begin our practice. Find your Easy Seated pose. Acknowledge the spirit of the plant as your partner in this flow. Inhale... and arrive."
Eddie keeps his apartment at 72 degrees, a perfect room temperature to be naked and stoned. The 'Blue Dream' spirit is playful, fuzzy energy, wrapping around them, softening the edges of the room, turning the November-grey light outside the window into a cozy, soft-focus.
"We begin with gentle movement," Seraph guides. "Inhale. Arch the spine. Lift the gaze. Cow Pose. Moo."
Jessica snorts, "Did he say 'Moo'?"
“He said ‘Moo,’” Eddie confirms, his voice rumbling low. He arches his back, the plant making his spine feel like iron with warm honey dripping off it.
"Exhale. Round the spine. Press the mat away. Cat Pose. Meow."
"Okay, I love this practice," Jessica laughs, curling inward.
It is not a solemn ritual; it is a joyful one. The AI is the metronome, the plant is the music, and they are the dancers.
"Arms to the sky. Imagine roots growing from your seat and light pouring into your fingers."
Seraph guides their bodies, but the plant guides their minds.
As Eddie reaches up, he sees it. The Nag Champa smells like a memory of a past life. And the energy from Jessica's mat is not just heat, but a visible, vibrant, rose-gold aura. From Jonathan, the aura is a cool, steady silver-blue—the color of clean circuitry and mended bone, grounding the entire trio. Eddie is not just in the room; he is aware of the room's entire energetic architecture. The AI speaks of 'alignment,' but Eddie sees the grid of light connecting them.
"Exhaling. Fold forward. Uttanasana. Let it all go. Shake your head. Yes. No."
They are a tangle of limbs, sweat, and laughter, their movements loose and liquid. The AI is a perfect, unflappable guide, a digital anchor in their psychedelic sea. It does not judge. It simply serves.
"We release the effort," Seraph says, as the music shifts to a low, vibrational drone. "Find your final resting pose. Savasana. You are supported. You are one."
They lie on their backs. The flow is complete. And here, in the stillness, the symphony of scent reaches its final, integrated chord.
The burnt-out incense (a note of charcoal and dust). The essential oils (a faint, clean echo). The sweet skunk of the flower (a warm, fuzzy blanket). And the human scent of warm cotton, salt, and skin.
They are not three people on the floor. They are a single nested three, held in an atmosphere they have built with pure, focused intention.
The integration begins.
